Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen PRESENTS TESTIMONY Before Joint Legislative Committee on Finance
MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen today presented testimony before the Joint Legislative Committee on Finance on the Governor's budget proposal.
Van Hollen stressed key public safety issues involving the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) including:
Full funding for 31 DNA analysts recently approved for the State Crime Lab, to eliminate backlog of cases.
Increased resources for the DOJ Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, to help protect Wisconsin children from sex predators. Since March 2006, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has identified over 15,000 unique IP addresses offering to share known images of child pornography.
