MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen today praised the passage by both the Assembly and State Senate of the Ethics Reform Legislation introduced as Special Session Assembly Bill 1 and Special Session Senate Bill 1.
"I congratulate the members of both houses on the historic passage of the Ethics Reform Legislation," Van Hollen said. "This is a positive step the people of Wisconsin support. I am grateful the Legislature worked with me in clarifying aspects of the bill addressing the authority of the Wisconsin Department of Justice in representing the best interests of the public in matters involving ethics, election law, lobbying, and campaign finance."
