Consumer Protection: How to File a Complaint

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of Consumer Protection primarily litigates cases that are referred to the department by other state agencies.  If you have questions about a case or believe you may be a party to a case handled by the Department of Justice, please contact:

Consumers are encouraged to contact one of the following agencies with questions or concerns involving the issues specified below:

DATCP (Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection)

  • General consumer complaints (auto repairs, pyramid schemes, investment opportunities, telemarketing, fraud, Internet fraud, landlord/tenant, sweepstakes, travel scams, charitable solicitors, etc.)
  • Consumers can also call DATCP to find out if there are any complaints against a company
