ANNUAL COMMUNITY PROFILE SURVEY COMPLETED

The 2008 Community Profile Survey results are now available! [PDF]

The Community Profile Survey is conducted annually through Wisconsin district attorneys’ offices.  The purpose of the survey is to gather information about county systems response in the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect.  The Wisconsin Children’s Justice Act (WI CJA) program uses this information to make funding decisions.  WI CJA works to improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect by:

  • Increasing the competency of child forensic interviewers
  • Providing equipment to jurisdictions that video record forensic interviews
  • Offering training scholarships to law enforcement, social workers and prosecutors
  • Facilitating statewide peer review opportunities for child maltreatment professionals
  • Providing other funding opportunities for projects that support systems improvement to better serve children
