Kevin St. John, Special Assistant Attorney General for Public Affairs and Policy

Kevin St. John was appointed by Attorney General Van Hollen to serve as the Special Assistant Attorney General for Public Affairs and Policy, effective January 1, 2007. St. John advises Attorney General Van Hollen on legal and public policy issues and serves as the Department of Justice's spokesperson. He also works with state, local, and federal government officials to advocate for the Attorney General's public safety and other initiatives, as well as communicates to officials DOJ's perspective on legislation and policy that could impact DOJ, public safety, public law, or the criminal justice system. St. John joined DOJ after practicing law with the Madison office of Michael Best
& Friedrich LLP and the Washington D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. St. John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his law degree from the University of Chicago.
